a poem whose seeds were birthed on this blog over the summer, out this week in Blue Earth Review, a publication of Minnesota State University.
I am in love with Minnesota, home of Minneapolis, the occupied city bravely resisting takeover by the goon squad of a fascist regime––with love and care, courage and grace.

Goodness, this work is so strong, so human. The meaning of the person through memory and need comes through so impressively. Each one of us matters so much. Thanks for elevating who and what we are.
Christopher. Thank you. This means so much to me. I am wishing you a beautiful week, friend.
I’ve spent some more time with this piece this morning and kind of don’t have words for how rich and charmed it is. Just the interconnections, the weave of themes, but mostly it’s the feeling of spontaneity I like most. To put so much time and work into something and have it read like that, spontaneous but still woven, wow that’s a piece of art Stacey. Bravo, bravo. Bill
Bill, your note really moves me. Thank you for this generous reading, and your exquisite timing. It’s one of those mornings of the heavy heart, and this is a bright kindness. Thank you, friend. Wishing you a beautiful Sunday.
Oh no! The heavy heart. Sure sign you’ve got a big one. Sending you love and warm beams from the PNW partner. Keep the faith.
Amen to that, Bill! : )
