Wonderful, Stacey. Your delivery, it reminds me of someone. Part Patti Smith, but only part… elements of the cadence, perhaps. And maybe it reminds me of someone whose name escapes me, from back when I used to emcee that spoken word night decades ago. Or maybe it is some other kind of memory, I do not know. But it remains a familiar feel and I’m good with leaving it there.

I have never seen any of your with before this- I can’t from Michael’s blog. But I am truly in awe of what I just experienced. This is what I want my poetry to be- something profound, really truly meaningful, without quite seeming it. Very glad I found this.
